ARCappella
Description:Arcappella is a top community choir in Melbourne's North. Arcappella is renown for its diverse repertoire that includes everything from the Beatles, to African spirituals, to pop songs musical numbers and of course Christmas carols! Arcappella invites all interested singers (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) to come and join the choir. Arcappella aims to encourage and develop vocal talent and community participation, performing at a range of festivals and events throughout the year. In 2009, Arcappella received the Darebin Australia Day Award for its contribution to the local community over the past 10 years. Arcappella rehearses on Wednesday evenings at the Donald Street Community Hall, near the corner of Donald Street and Tyler Street Preston at 7.30pm. ARCappella particulary encourages young people and young adults to participate, but is open to singers of all ages. No previous choir experience required. ARCappella - The Choir of ARC Theatre Company
Description:A top community choir in Melbourne's North. Interested in Singing? Come and Join Us! ARCappella is an community choir for males and females. Our music is performed a-cappella, in four part harmony. No previous choir experience required. We perform at a range of community performances and each year hold a Christmas Choir for 10 weeks. Choir of the Parish of Jika Jika
Description:The choir meets to rehearse on Wednesday nights, 6.30-8.00pm, alternating between All Saints Preston and St George's Reservoir. The choir sings for regular services in both centres. If you want to take your singing to the next level one of the benefits of joining the choir is free tuition in sight reading and voice production.

Coro Furlan
Description:All male Italian choir formed 1975. It rehearses every Tuesday night at Furlan Club 1 Matisi Street, Thornbury. It was formed as a regional choir from the northeastern part of Italy. It has become the only all male Italian choir in Melbourne and it needs more exposure in the community. Membership 25. We have non-Italians singing in the choir.

Description:Expressive Womens choir is open to all women in the community. Our aim is to bring women together through singing and sharing our stories. Description:An open community choir which specialises in songs and drumming from this vast continent. Currently we sing in about 8 different African languages and have regular African guest artists to teach us songs of their tradition. We are always welcoming to new members. In 2004 we worked, performed and recorded with Valanga Xhosa, Carlos Panguana and David Marama. We performed at Melbourne International Festival, The Boite and Darebin Music Feast. Description:The Awakenings Choir meets weekly on Tuesday evening from 7-9pm. We begin with a meditation process, followed by vocal warm up, which may include toning, chanting, sound healing or short songs. We then work on developing repertoire for performance.
