About Us

The Club meets twice per month at the Preston Library, 266 Gower Street, Preston. (Melway reference Map 18, G12)

We are a group of amateur photographers of different age groups, occupations and skill levels from different suburbs, simply wanting to learn to take better photographs and encourage a higher standard of photography in the Darebin area.

Our program includes workshops, lectures/presentations, field trips and displays of members' images.

"Small Prints', "Large Prints" and "Projected Images" are submitted regularly and a highly trained, external judge will explain the merits of each image and give suggestions for improvements. Points for each entry are awarded.

Preston Photographic Club was established in 1948 and in 2008 a gala dinner celebrated its 60th Anniversary.

Our current membership is in excess of 40 and visitors as well as new members are always made welcome.
