DescriptionCandyland is a newly established multidisciplinary Community Arts Space offering up to 9 dedicated studios for individual arts practitioners, a 150 m2 venue space for multi usage e.g. theatre & dance performance, exhibitions, photography and film, as well as a 30m2 workshop, rehearsal and healing space. Candyland is a massive warehouse converted and finished to a high standard, nestled between Thornbury and Coburg with access to public transport within walking distance. We aim to create a strong culture which supports creativity, community and connectedness in an environment devoted to furthering individual and collective pursuits. We offer regular open-learning forums that are designed to be both inclusive and educational. We host multi-disciplinary artist-makers and practitioners to further their practice across a wide range of mediums, from permaculture, book binding to open dance events. The pricing structure varies according to space required, projected usage and length of time required. Your participation and practical contribution are considered to be a vital part of the pricing structure. Your contribution could take the form of a public workshop offering or utilising your administrative expertise. DescriptionFree Exhibition Space Expressions of Interest If you’re an artist or you belong to a local community group or school and would like somewhere to display your artwork, we may be able to help. Darebin Libraries has exhibition spaces available free of charge at Northcote, Fairfield and Reservoir Libraries. Previous exhibitions have included a wide range of mediums such as metal sculpture, paintings, framed photography, mosaics and textile art. DescriptionA Preston shop front Gallery/Venue. A non-commercial and DIY artist run space, all-ages venue for performances, exhibitions, zines and everything DIY. Affordable studio spaces for lease down the back of the building: currently some extraordinary artists are working there. Palomar Mountain is a space-for-hire gallery, at no cost to the artist.
